Batteries For Cars

If you want to build an electric car, you need to decide how large the battery should be. To serve the customers best, we should take into account the usage pattern. We should look at the trip length distribution. Such a problem is particularly hard to solve if you do not have the necessary data.

We helped the R&D department of a big car manufacturer to figure that one out. Unfortunately we are not allowed to talk about this in detail, but we can say that it involved markov chain simulations of driver behavior, and that our customer built a team of data scientists around the idea.
